Welcome to The Nova Scotia Courts' Decision Database

Decisions are normally added within a few days after they are released. However, the database is not a complete collection of all of the decisions released by the Courts of Nova Scotia. It currently contains most of the decisions published since 2003 and some of those released between 2000 and 2002. Other decisions released in the past five years, as well as some going back to before 2000, are being added as time and resources allow. In the meantime, these might be found in the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society decisions database, Law News Online.

Please note - Certain decisions, which are subject to a publication ban or, for reasons of individual privacy, are not suitable for publication, are not currently available on this site. We are working to make the substance of those decisions available in a form that does not breach publication bans and accommodates privacy concerns. Our goal is to make this database as comprehensive as possible.
