Summary:                   The child, aged 11, has been in the primary care of the mother since birth.  Father and mother have been separated since the child was three years old.  The mother remarried and the child has resided with the mother, stepfather and blended family for six years.  Stepfather lost his job in Nova Scotia and obtained employment in Australia. Father is very involved with the child.

 

Issue:                          Is it in the best interests of the child to move to Australia with his mother?

 

Result:                        It is in the best interests of the child to move to Australia with his mother.
