Summary:                             Maternal grandmother requested joint custody and significant                                                    parenting time with   grandchild over the objection if the                                                            child’s mother. The grandmother had frequently cared for the                                                     child and considered that she, not the child’s mother, was the                                                         child’s “parent”. Her disrespect of the child’s mother resulted                                                   in the mother’s decision to limit contact between the                                                              grandmother and the child. The grandmother was not granted                                                            leave to continue with her application for joint custody and                                                        parenting time but she was granted defined contact time and                                                       interaction opportunity.
