Summary:

Request for second adjournment dismissed when respondent failed to appear at hearing of application.  Prior to order being issued, respondent asked for reconsideration.  Balancing interests of justice, particularly best interests of child at the centre of the application, meant maintaining the original decision to dismiss the request for an adjournment.
