Subject: Spousal support - long term marriage - three children

 

Summary:           Petitioner wife received in excess of one million dollars in assets pursuant to settlement of matrimonial property division.  Petitioner trained as teacher but did not pursue a career.  Seeking $9,000.00 per month in spousal support. Respondent husband asking that there be no maintenance payable.  Prior to division of assets there was an order for $6,000.00 per month maintenance.

 

Held:                      Court ordered $3,000.00 per month in maintenance.
